Getting there and away

There are 2 ways from krabi Province to Koh Pu including:
Ferry boat
During high season (Oct-May) passage to the island can be made by taking the Krabi-Lanta boat from passenger port of Krabi in Krabi town.

Buy your ticket (approx. 300 bath) to the island "Koh Pu" (also known as Koh Jum). Make sure to tell the ticket office salesman on the pier that you are not going to Koh Jum or koh Lanta. After approx.1 hour, the ferry will stop in open sea (It is the first stop and you will see the rust rain forest mountain approx.400m), where a small fisher boat will be waiting to take you to the shore (free pick up). Please contact us before you leaving from the town more than 3 hr to make sure that there is our boat to pick up you !!!

Note: If you get off the boat at koh Jum, there is the road contact from koh Jum to koh Pu (approx. 9 km.) that you can ask the motorbike to transfer you to koh Pu at Lubo beach (approx. 200 baht).

The local way by long tail boat

This way is use by local people all year by taking local public boats (approx.50 baht/person) from Leam kruad Pier in Nuea Khlong District to Koh Pu.
From krabi town take a local minibus (Song Thaew; the blue one) at the bus stop near Vogue Dept.store to Nuea Khlong District. This Song Thaew also on the way passes krabi International Airport before 3 km. arriving at Nuea Khlong District. You need to get off Song Thaew at the second traffic light in front of Krung Thai Bank (near the local market). After that cross the high way street and go directly to the small road approx. 100 m. you will see the bus stop (left hand side) for another Song thaew (the blue one) to Leam kruad pier (depart every 45 min. from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. and cost 40 baht/person). Another option, you can rent private car (approx. 800-1000 baht/car) directly to Leam Kruad Pier.
At Leam Kruad Pier, make sure you find the right boats to come to Koh Pu Pier. Koh Pu boats departed every 1 and a half an hour from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (normally at the small pier—cost 50 baht/person). You can also ask local people over there and ignore the people who try to tell you to come with koh Jum boat or private boat (more expensive—its worth if your group consists of 6 people or more—we also organize with our boat cost 1000 baht/boat directly to our bungalow. The boats ride 45 min via the beautiful mangrove forest and local life style of fishermen. From Koh Pu Pier, we will pick up you with our motorbike (free pick up) to our bungalow pass through the lovely tropical countryside of Pu village, the unspoiled jungle vegetation, rubber and coconut plantations (approx.3km.)

Note: Please contact us before leaving from Krabi town in order to make sure your trip go smoothly all the way to come here (by phone is more convenient in the case of urgent).
